Privacy Policy for Follow Up
Effective date: October 2, 2026
Follow Up is a task app that shows one task at a time and reminds you until it is done. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.
The short version
- Your tasks and notes stay on your device. We cannot see them.
- There is no account and no sign-in.
- The app sends anonymous usage statistics so we can improve it. You can turn this off.
- We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
Information that stays on your device
The tasks you create, their notes, reminder times, deadlines, and the reasons you give for skipping a task are stored only on your device. They are not sent to us or to anyone else. If you delete the app, this information is deleted with it.
If you add Follow Up widgets, the app shares the current task with its own widget on your device so the widget can display it. This does not leave your device.
Anonymous usage statistics
Follow Up uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used. It records events such as a task being added, completed, or skipped, along with details like the reminder type chosen, the reason category for a skip, and how many days a task was open.
It never records task titles, notes, or anything you type.
Firebase assigns the app a random installation identifier and may process general device information, such as the device model, operating system version, language, and approximate region. The app uses the Firebase configuration that does not collect the advertising identifier. This information is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you across other apps or websites.
You can turn this off at any time in the app: open the list, tap the gear icon, and switch off "Share anonymous usage data".
Google's handling of this data is described at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
The free week
To give you seven days of every feature, the app records the date you first opened it. This date is stored on your device and, if you are signed in to iCloud, in your private iCloud key-value storage so it survives reinstalling the app. It contains no other information and we cannot see it.
Purchases
Follow Up Pro is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment. We do not receive your name, payment card, or billing details. The app only learns whether a purchase is active.
Notifications and alarms
If you allow them, the app schedules notifications and alarms on your device to remind you about tasks. These are created and delivered by your device. Task titles shown in a reminder are not sent anywhere.
Children
Follow Up is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
- Turn off anonymous usage statistics in the app's Settings.
- Turn off notifications or alarms in the iOS Settings app.
- Delete all app data by deleting the app.
Changes to this policy
